Quirks

Some quirky things. People have mentioned it gets hot. True dat. The fuel gauge gets squirrley as it gets close to empty. The light will come on when you know you have enough gas. Stop at light and all of the sudden you're good again. Speedometer is way off. Like 7 mph once you pass 40 - 50. Rattles a lot to me, but I'm usually doing 80mph in my freeway commutes. The little bracket that holds on the horn cracked in two. Drilled a new hole and remounted. The rails that the windscreen slides in to have cracked and warped. I have a stick holding it tight until I get it replaced. Also it helps to go around and put a wrench on some bolts to make sure they don't come loose. You buy a cheap bike and you have to expect some trade offs. I'd rather keep the extra $2K in my pocket. I'll ride mine until the wheels fall off and get another bike.

But, it's been doing fine otherwise. Buying parts from Aliexpress. You can get 4 oil filters for about $30 from them. Just order in advance as it takes a few weeks for the Chinese to paddle a boat over here.

Sorry to hear you're having quirky issues. You've got the color display with the app and unless I missed it and the owner's manual is wrong, I was just surprised to see they didn't include Cruise Control on a bike designed for travel. I've got the 700 CL-X Heritage with the wonky Gear Indicator Sensor/Cruise Control issue that sends the bike into Limp Mode. I think it's resolved with two parts replaced unser warranty but that helped me to figure out that my speedometer was off too. At 109mph, both GoogleMaps and the Speedometer Pro app, which uses GPS and not your phone's data showed it as ~only~ 102mph.

At 75mph-80mph on the gauge I'm slow by 5mph which explained why I haven't been pulled over by Troopers on the NYS Thruway. I was within the unwritten grace limit of 10mph.

There are others, but I found the Speedometer Pro app to be the easiest free one without lots of intrusive ads. It also gives you a map and keeps your history, though that could be bad if you do get pulled over, until you delete it. This is a two screen-cap paste and the map would be on top of the right image. I didn't create it, don't work for them and get no referral fees! It's just a stupid easy tool.

I wish more owners were posting and I kind of wish they didn't separate the bikes into separate categories because if I didn't read the other posts I would have missed some good reads info and links. If you have problems finding parts through your dealer try looking on this site. https://cfmotousaparts.com they bought a lot of spare parts from CFMOTO and they don't report back as to what's left or sold out. I only found them after offering WAY over US prices convincing dealers in Canada, Poland, France and Romania to break the rules and ship me the parts I couldn't find, and they turned out to be 3 hours away so I got one part the next day!

Even with the few problems I'm seeing here and around the internet, there still seem to be no really pissed off owners commenting, and no bad review videos!!

Keep those odometers turning!!
2nd set of Pirellis and over 7,700 miles since October 14th over 160 hours with an average speed of of only 41mph on mostly back country winding twisty roads in Catskills portion of the Appalachian Mountains Upstate New York State.

I just bought a 650MT. I like it. It does get warm, especially when the fan kicks on. I think it's a minor annoyance.

The speedometer, though. It's all over the place. 4000RPM and the speedo varies from 47 to 58 mph. I'm contacting the dealer to find out what can be done. I can use my phone gps, but...

I will update with what I get figured out.
