Display went dark new starting procedure
« on: May 31, 2024, 12:58:06 AM »
Ok first thing first. Turn key on. Fuel pump primes, no display, starter wont engage. Start standard troubleshooting  I find out that with the side stand UP and clutch pulled in the motorcycle will start and run normally except still no display. I still have LED that says headlight is on, and high beams, and turn signals. But all the display is dark. No speedo, tach, fuel, temp just dark. Based on my method for getting it started I'm assuming the bike thinks it's in gear when it is not. So side stand up and clutch pulled it starts. I'm getting ready to go check fuses but wanted to post this in case someone has had this before.

First update. Found a few fuses under the seat. All of them checked out ok. Rode over to the dealership to see if still under warranty. It is. Scheduled appointment on the 26th of June to bring it in.

Same thing happened to me at about 15,000 miles. The screen was replaced under warranty.

Just got the call today (7-30-24) part finally came in and display was replaced. Going to pick it up now. They probably had it over 3 weeks mostly waiting for the part.  Glad it got replaced under warranty as the display looks to be $1000. Will probably try to sell the bike because parts prices are crazy and now the warranty is gone.
