Crash bars

Just curious. Looking to buy a 650 adventura and the sales catalog shows with crash guards and *optional hand guards. Are the crash guards still available? Im wanting to get the bike as a commuter and possible week end get away vehicle. I live in the piney woods of east texas and there are so many hog trails and back roads it just seems the best choice.

I've seen the crash bars on some of the models sold outside the USA. Some of them look like you can prop your feet up on them but other than that I'm not sure I want them. I don't know if they are sold separately or if they only come included with the bike. If you can buy them they would need a pretty big box.

When I bought the rear luggage rack I ordered the same one as fits on the 650 MT. If you search for stuff to fit that, some things on Aliexpress pops up. Some of the shipping costs are very high though.

No matter what they advertise, this isn't much of an offroad bike. And yes, it does get noticeably hot. Good in winter. Bad in summer.

I've been leery so I'm wondering if you wouldn't you mind sharing the seller you used on aliexpress? Do the items sit at your local port to clear customs or do they ship direct to you? Any info would be appreciated.

I bought the CL-X Heritage and love it. I've also got a slew of under a minute mileage, service, problems andthe resolutions, and other updates. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC68KXSuaT7FeWIs1uotyJuQ

I can't deny I'm disappointed over the lack of readily available parts and accessories as the whole world is suffering from pandemic related supply issues, but I'm definitely not pissed off because, I haven't been left in the dark by the dealer or CFMOTO and I can still ride it.

Just not on days warmer than 40°, in 6th gear, with the cruise control on at speeds above 65mph for more than 15-20 miles before the gear indicator starts switching from 1 to 6 and disengages the cruise control!
2nd set of Pirellis and over 7,700 miles since October 14th over 160 hours with an average speed of of only 41mph on mostly back country winding twisty roads in Catskills portion of the Appalachian Mountains Upstate New York State.
