Im new to this Side by side game i got this 14 z6 snyper on trade for one of my older cars i wasn't using, I used it on a trail ride where i broke the reverse switch i grounded that out. But before then i noticed sometimes on the trail when i would turn the bike off it wouldn't start again. it would turn over i can hear the pump kick on but nothing. Now we had historic flooding here in baton rouge la i figure i can hop on this thing and ride my self to safety but nop. Wouldn't start checked voltage it was good after letting it sit it finally started road well for about 1 mile or so then it started sputtering then killed and now it wont start. any idea on where to begin.

Welcome. There are known issues with connectors.. especially the female side of the sword connectors and especially with the fuses. I would start there.

Might want to check the fuel pressure in case you need a pump. Not sure if the fuel filter is clogged. The filler is pretty bad on these and lets in dirt easy. The filter is on the passenger side rear wheel well. I had to tie mine back because the rubber mount broke and the fuel line was too close to the hot stuff. Vapor lock? Engines hate hot fuel. I haven't checked my main fuse yet, but I'm guessing that is what's making mine die once in awhile. Mine starts right up after, so not sure if this is you. I did get some bad gas once and it had water in it. Try some seafoam too.

NMK is right. The reverse switch and connectors were a known issue especially with the '12 & '13 models. I'd try draining the tank and using fresh gas. Does sound like bad gas. Running fine until it's swished around and water getting sucked it and dies. Then once it settles and the water separates it runs. Check the connections and fill the tank. If it's 1/2 tank or less may be getting some condensation in the tank.

well my tank is full just refiled it, checked my battery its at a good charge. i hear the pump kick on the motor turns fine just seems like no ignition. i checked the fuses where my steering wheel is all are good. could it be a bad ignition coil or ecu?

Also i have been searching for the service manual cant seem to find it can some one post me a link so I can download it.

Well at least that's a start. Can start crossing those off your list.

Even if you put new gas in the water will still stay. It sinks to the bottom of the tank and you need to add something to bond to it and allow it to get burned up.

I use a cup of metholated spirits in a tank full to dissolve any water and gets burnt through the engine.

Can someone tell me where the fuses are??? I see a fuse bank in the schematic, but I'll be dammed if I can fine it. I found the 'main' fuse in the box behind that battery box, with the starting solenoid. But the others are a mystery? Are they under the cover below the instrument cluster ? It's the only thing I haven't pulled off yet..

Need to put your machine in your signature line so we know what you have. The Zs have their fuse block on the right side of the steering column clipped to the upper bracket. It slides up to detach..I think.

Good question. I never had a fuse go so never really looked for it. I will give mine a look and see if I can give you a good response. Service manual wasn't much help
