Fuel pump don’t make prime noise, but injector does spray a little fuel, coil wire sparks at coil head , seems to have spark at plug, engine does turn over but won’t start?

I would check fuel pressure. You should hear the pump when you turn the key. I would also check spark at the plug. On the z6 this is a bit of work so I would check compression, replace the plug and do the valve gap while I had it appart. I think NMK was talking about the Throttle position sensor?

try removing the plug and starting without it, this should purge any build up where the spark plug seats, Also make sure that your intake for the carb is still attached, it likes to fall off, and the carb can easily get gummed up.  I usually replace my plug every year for this reason.

Does your horn work?  This is going to sound like a weird thing to check, but I had a similar issue a few months ago and it oddly turned out to the horn fuse.  I changed the horn fuse and the pump started working again.

That's odd, because the horn is not on the same fuse as the fuel pump on the Z8.

The pump fuse has the EFI system and Aux starter relay on it.
