Hello folks!

First time posting a thread here, recently purchased a 2011 Snyper 600 from a dealer, and the whole thing is a huge mess. I've got my regrets, but I'm stuck with the bike now so I have to make due with what I have. At this point, I need help trying to find a part.

After two drives, the front mount of the rear differential snapped. I contacted a dealer trying to find the part, and they aren't having any luck finding a replacement part for me. They're contacting CF Moto Canada, but said that it doesn't look good. I was wondering if anyone had come across this issue before, and knows either where to find the part or the dimensions of the part so I can get it fabricated. I have the old part, but it's pretty mangled so I doubt I will be able to get accurate measurements.

I'm confused, your thread opens rear diff then you talk about front diff. Photo's have good detail of the issue just not sure if it is front or rear.

Have you compared to any newer models to see if the mount is the same?

The 11,12,13 & 14 Z6s are all the same so the part can be purchased through Alpha-Sports.com.

Sorry about the confusion. The rear differential mounts in two places, at the front and at the rear of the differential. I'm looking for the mount for the rear differential, but the front mount for it. My in laws have a newer model, but it seems to have a completely different setup, much more robust.

Edit: I'm going to send them an email and see what they can do. Looking at the parts diagram I have the same problem the dealer came to, can't find the part on the diagram.

That should be able to be made very very easily and you can make it a lot stronger if you just use better, thicker steel. a few pieces of flat stock and a welder. Nut and bolt it, or you can weld a nut onto the flat stock like they did, makes it easier to R/R

That's what I was thinking, just wasn't sure of the dimensions. Not sure how accurate they would have to be to avoid any vibrations or possible damage to the differential or other components.

It wouldn't be so bad if i could weld it up myself and test fit it, etc. Have to get someone else to do it though.

All you need is the U-shaped bracket, oversize the ears where the through bolt for the diff will be so you can drill your own holes. as long is it is tight you won't get vibration, if you are worried about the height you should be able to get a pretty close measurement off the broken piece you have, being off a slight amount isn't going to have much of an effect you won't be changing the pinion angle barely any even if you are off by 1/4 inch.

That doesn't look the same as mine. They must have welded a plate between the ears later on. It was still crappy IMHO. If you buy one, make sure the 6mm bolts from the bottom aren't too long and bottom out on the plate on the bracket. I would just make one if you are able.

Any fabrication shop should be able to weld that back together and strengthen it.

Yeah I think I would just make a new one with some good North American steel.

This is what i ended up doing. Got two brackets from a hardware store, did a bit of cutting and lined it up as best i could, marked it and drilled holes. Also drilled a third hole in the center to make sure it all stayed together. I should have painted it before putting it all together, but there's no way I'm taking it back out to paint it. Those bolts that go through the differential are a real pita to get out and in.

Good luck. Watch for cracking at the bends from the flexing cause there is a lot of torsional stress on that diff and it's mounts. I do hope it works well for you though.

I would check it often, that type of metal may not be strong enough to hold up but who knows, good luck with it.
