New to the forum an to CF Moto. Picked up a clean 2011 600 Snyper with 1056 miles. Unloaded it off trailer and noticed the R stayed on no matter what gear I was in, also noticed it really lacked power. A few miles down the road an Speedo quit working, everything else on gauge worked. Parked it and checked this site . This morning took interior apart an sure enough the reverse sensor was sheared off, I grounded it to the frame checked the speedo connection unplugged an plugged it back in an sure enough it worked, went for a ride the R was off the machine ran great the speedo worked!  Got home parked it went back out for a ride an now the fan runs non stop as soon as you turn the key on an now the Warning light flashes constantly? ?  Any ideas on what could have caused these issues? I appreciate any help you can give

The fan on all the time may be the thermoswitch. Most fail and won't come on but a few have fused together inside and won't shut off. Unplug it from the switch and see if it shuts off...its on the radiator. As for the warning light..which one?, temp, ECU,oil change,fuel...ect.

Thanks, not sure what warning light ins on, it is a round light by the indicator that shows wheels for 2 wd or 4 wd.

If its the round light next to the 4wd, its a trouble indicator. Read the code, download the z6 service manual from here and look it up. Probably says "Bad Reverse sensor"...lol

Thanks, one more stupid question, forgive me because I am new, but how do I get the code? The light is on solid, with the key on, but does flash once I start the machine.  Thanks again. Learning a lot on this site

Running, when it flashes, it will flash a number of times then pause..then flash another number of times. Count these between the pauses and write them down. The sequence may start and end with zero..as shown.

Ok the light either flashes non-stop with no pauses or it stays solid? For example when I start the machine no light, then it comes on and flashes non stop no pauses? Any ideas on where I should look?  I also noticed the fan runs non stop? Could the flashing be telling me it is overheating?  I know I need a thermo switch, could that be the issue? Again any input appreciated!

My warning light kept flashing non stop when engine was running, turned out to be a cracked header that probably messed with the oxygen sensor (that header eventually split). After fixing the header, this behavior stopped.
