Indicator light
« on: May 19, 2017, 09:07:34 PM »
Well I made it 40 miles until my first problem. I was driving on my land and happened to look up at my indicator lights and the red light next to the parking brake indicator was solid on. It looked like an image of a spark plug. Does anybody know what this light means?

I turned the machine off, and noticed that it blinked when I pressed the kill switch. I then played with that switch a little, restarted the machine and the red indicator light was off. Drove it home approx two miles and it never went back on. What's the deal? Does anyone know?

It doesn't say in the manual on this forum. I'll check my owners manual.

Next time your at the dealer with it, have them check for codes. I haven't had to deal with the light yet so I'm weak on this subject. Please share if you find out any new info.

That light is indicating service is due. It came on for me as well around 50 miles. I believe it's just that it wants you to check the oil level. It does no harm. There's a way with the. Utton on the instrument cluster to reset the light. It will come on 300 miles later for the first oil change
Cheers

Is it perhaps a little fuel injector symbol? Sounds close to what you described as a spark plug. If so, that's the malfunction indicator light. Your ecu detected a fault.

The service reminder should be a little oil can in the digital part of the display.

Haven't seen a Z6 for a while so I'm going off memory here, but at least that's the way most the other CFMOTO machines are.

Yup, it was the little fuel injector light, it turned off and I worked with the Z6 all day yesterday. It never turned itself back on. As soon as I get the small oil leak fixed I will love this little machine. For a 600 it purrs and has plenty of power for my needs. I like to crawl through my hardwood forest and make new trails so speed means nothing to me.
