Fuel mileage
« on: May 06, 2018, 09:08:18 PM »
It may be covered here on the forum, but I couldn't find it.
I am interested on the average mileage owners of Z600's are getting.
Thanks in advance.

To be honest I don't pay attention. It changes depending on where I go. At half a tank is where I head back.

Given the varied nature of the environments we drive these things in, I don't think MPG can really apply in any meaningful way.

I can say that I've never come close to running the 7 gallon tank dry on any given day of riding.

Right..For my 800 before any mods and where I ride it got between 24-27 MPG...which was insane to me coming from a carbed 750 Brute Force that at best got 13mpg. Now with all the extra weight and clutch mods that has dropped to between 18-22mpg but I'm not complaining.. cause that's still at worst 135 or so miles on a tank....and we rarely go over 50 miles on one ride anymore so I don't even take extra fuel. Just top it off when we get back to camp.

Thanks guys.

I should have stated it differently.

I am only really after the average people get on a full tank. Knowing that we all ride in different types of terrain and conditions.

I have some longer trips planned this summer and wanted to get an idea of how much extra fuel to carry.
