Floor covers
« on: September 03, 2016, 09:00:28 PM »
Has anyone ever made covers to seal of the two large openings on the floor (between the seats) on a Z600.  I don't know if that would cause overheating problems. I was thinking it would help keep dust and heat down out of the cab. Any thoughts ?

Post some pics :)

Sealing these things is starting to be a must.

Yeah I don't see why not...It's not getting any air for cooling so go for it...put some sound deadener on the back side too. Can't hurt.

Thanks. I think I'll start forming up something with plastic that I can put in with them pop rivet plastic things that hold the whole machine together.

I have the full skids on mine so dirt coming in is not a big deal. Maybe you can use rubber sheet to seal it up. Please post some pics of it as you go. I would like to see how you get it done.

I attempted to make floor covers out of thin plastic sheets. Heating and forming them went well but the seats would not lock into place.....UGGH. Next attempt will be with rubber. Will post pics if it is a success...
