Just wondering if the compression is under 40 would you need a new motor where do you start looking for them and how much do they cost can you buy a rebuild kit or would it just be easier to get a new one this is on a 2013 z6

Probably due. Talk with your dealer about rebuilding it and talk to nFLOW as well. They said they will rebuild CFM engines. You can order complete crate engines as well. Not cheap..but Alpha-Sports can get one for you.

Put a cap full of oil down the sparkplug hole and recheck it. If it goes up than yes you will need to check the cylinder and might just need to bore it and new piston. If it doesn't go up, than it might be valves or timing.
