Well..one end of the spring will be on the base home marked A..(or C) and the other end will be in the helix hole marked#1. Compress it straight down until you get close then rotate it. Note the direction this guy does it. I don't do the keyway like he does, I just line up the slots by turning the bottom section just before I put the clip on and drop it back in.

Thank you so much for your help. I was making this way too overcomplicated long day. I Now understand it doesn't matter the letter the number up top if it's one you only moved past 1 if its 2 or greater than you move accordingly if that's correct I think I figured it all out thanks

Just put the ends of the spring in the holes marked a and 1. Watch the YouTube video. He does a good job of showing how to get it done. All you are doing is twisting the spring more so it pushes harder.

Well I hope I did all correct. All things are back together and it appears to be working. I will take it on a test run tomorrow.  I used C1.  Ran the helix down placed the key weight, rotated it past the first tower and snugged it down. Everything on the reinstall went well.....thanks for all your help guys.

If the helix is resting on the buttons when you got it all back together, you should be good. With fall coming, the dust should die down a bit. I will try to keep updates on my filter box project. I am so sick of having to clean out the clutches.

I'm so sick of seeing the effect all that has on these clutches. My little surface filter stops 98% of it but would like to see 100%. Looking forward to seeing your system in place.

Well to the zforce on its first trip in the mountains since buying it. C1 was a great setting for the mountains. Most of our ride was between 7500 and 10,000 ft...played in mud, climbed hills and some water puddles not much deeper than a foot or so. Everything went great all the prep work paid off. Thanks to all who helped me with ideas and troubleshooting.
