cfmoto 600cc efi/quadzilla rs6 running problems
« on: May 19, 2016, 11:09:20 AM »
hi all, this is a video of my 2014 quadzilla rs6 quad it has the cfmoto 600cc efi (2011-14) it was running ruff as in the video but the warning light was flasing continuously all the time, the light has stopped flashing now for some reason, but the engine still running ruff, this is about as good as you gets when it is playing up, the only time it seems to run ok is when it has been sat for a while, and then only good for a mile or so, it will then just go bluuuuur bluuuuur bluuuur stall, and then we just get whats in the video till the battery dies, then pust it home lol,,has anyone got any thought on this,

You can check the fuel pressure, compression, valve lash. How does the spark plug look. Does it have good spark? White is not enough fuel, wet or black is way too much fuel. You may also have a sensor problem, but lets cover the basics first. You will get this, it will just take some digging to find the source. This also might sound bad but is the air filter clogged up?

You need these for an engine to run right. Your problem will fall into one or more of these

Fuel: At the correct mix with air
Spark: Strong and at the correct time
Compression: Within the mfg. specs

Don't know if you have it yet but download the x6 (CF625-B) service manual here on the site. It should be close to what you have and the info should mostly apply. Look exactly like a x6. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a rebadged CFMoto even though they claim they don't do that.

hi thanks for reply, air filter is new, plug is new, but I will for colour, im going to take the fuel pump out as im being told there is some sort of filter in the tank,, the pump is fitted into the top of the tank with no inline filter, it did have a new pump 6 months ago, the garage that fitted it say its fine, I will check these items and get back to you,,

Check the actual fuel pressure so you know for sure it's correct. Pumps can go bad, even new ones. Check the compression for sure. You want to confirm your engine is in good shape before you waste time and money on other things.
