Being some place you can't see it puts the switches front and center..Many have had problems with them failing because of water intrusion. The wiring diagram shows what's connected when in the ON position so start with the kill switch, pop it out, test the switch and jumper the correct wires. Then do the same to the ignition switch. Might also make sure your ground wires to the engine are solid. Also the slide connections in the fuse block have also been an issue with some. Of course it wouldn't be the first fuel pump to go bad either. Yeah CFM uses some high-grade parts....

Im almost willing to bet its the ignition switch as well.  After checking all the connectors and grounds I did blast about half a can of electrical cleaner into the key slot as well as saturated the back end and was able to get a few good primes but then corrosion just kinda set back in and nothing yet again.  I debate on pulling it apart and cleaning it or just ordering a new ignition set they aren't too expensive by the looks of it.

Honestly..as much as the ignition switch is used, IMO, that's one thing that if a reason existed, should be upgraded to something made in North America. Even if it meant doing a bit of splicing. And maybe because of what it does, that kill switch might need to be upgraded to a water proof switch...or eliminated all together and just install a roll-over switch.

Just thinking out loud here :)

These are all good ideas, I thought about doing a 4 wire automotive switch, but cf moto was the only company i have ever seen to install a freaking locking gas cap on a side by side.. so you gotta get it all in a set, I mean I could keep 2 keys on the same ring and just do that.. all thought it seems kinda counter intuitive.  I guess ill sleep on it tonight whether i want to get a tried and true ignition switch as apparently this is a common problem.  Or just get another ignition set from cf moto and just sell this fucker at the start of next season.

Locking gas cap..really? Man..glad mine doesn't have that. Anyway, locksmiths can do amazing things these days. I'm sure there is something they can do to make then keyed-alike.

I would go with a new switch. The gas cap is stupid. I really am being nice here. It's a production to fill up and stuff can fall in there easy with the cap off. I've looked everywhere to find an elbow of sorts, no luck. I have also used a cleaner called deoxit d100. A little pricey but it works. Follow up with regular electric cleaner.
