« on: December 09, 2015, 09:20:51 AM »
Hey Guys, my brother has an 600EX with 28 inch tires, since the larger tires have been installed he has lost some bottom end, what settings do you recommend to change it too, also it's all stock.
thanks for any help..

If they use the same clutches as the 800s, then with 28" tires I would go to the B2 position on the secondary and leave the rollers alone.

Stock is 25g. These machines are a little under powered. I would try the 24g. Rollers to move the rpms up a little. I think the B2 spring setting would be a good place to start. I have stock tires on my z6. I tried 24g and saw a slight improvement getting going. No adjustments to spring. I tried the 23g and it feels like it's stuck between high and low gear. New plan is 24g rollers and A1 or C1 spring setting for more backshift.

Thanks guys for the help, I think I'm going to try the B2 setting, I saw a video somewhere about setting up the clutch on the zfroce somewhere and for the life of me I can't find it now.

Hey guys, finally got that D------m nut off the secondary clutch today, and set it to the B2 position, made a good deal of difference.
But the only way to get the clutch off was to remove the motor mount bolts and shift the engine over to the side to gain enough room to slide it off, what's up with that ?
Part of the frame was in the way.

I got mine off without having to do any mount-stuff. I remember it was pretty close though.

Hey NMK, man that was a bear getting that nut loose, had to use a torch to heat it up to break it loose, sure enough when I got it off it was corrosion that was the problem.
It got a good cleaning along with some antisieze. I wonder if Coz has had his off, and what did he had do to get the clutch out from the frame ?

I first thought it might have been some kind of killer loc-tite but nooo.. Maybe those guys at the factory through some salt water on it when they ran out of thread-loc. IDK but yeah when I took it back off to re-adjust it.. it was normal.

Hey Cos, the problem I had was one of the frame rails was in the way, there was no way to move it, tried opening the clutch as much as I could, still not enough, so I unbolted the engine and pried it over enough to pull it off. Geese !!!!

Hey Cos, where did you get the Dr.pulley sliders for your 600 at? I can't seem to find anything online for the Zforce, just a lot of scooters, also what was the #for the 24 gram sliders.
Thanks.
