Hey guys,

Have a new X400 LE experiencing Hard shifter issue Have to really jump on the foot pedal hard to get a smooth gear shift
also have had issues with low gear engaging and when it does pops out of gear when riding (low gear only).

Have been told by other members that it could do with a foot pedal adjustment, has anyone experienced this issue ans actually adjusted the foot pedal or shifter  cable?

Bike is only a few months old 50kms on the clock only.

Also noticed a few drops of coolant come from the under side when the machine is off?

Your advise is much appreciated thanks.

Looks like there is some adjustments behind the bracket. Confirm that this is your problem. Try pulling on the cable and see if it shifts fine. Might be stiff on the other end. I think the spring keeps you from damaging the cable or what's on the other side. My water pump leaked a little bit when new. Haven't seen anything since.

Sounds good guys will give it a tug when I get home tonight after work, also as was said could get better with more use.

What about the low gear issue I'm having has anyone experienced that before?

Engages when it wants and when it does pops out after abit of riding back into neutral even though the shifter is in the low gear position?

On the popping out of low. I would look at the adjustment for the shifter. Not sure if it's a cable or a rod. If it's a rod, you can loosen the nuts at the ball joints and turn the rod to adjust it. There is a detent on the lever attached to the engine. Just have to match that up with the gates on the shifter liver up top.

Thanks Cosmosdan,

Thats Great info sound reasonable, Gonna try the dealer again as the machine is under the 2 year factory warranty.
If he stuffs me around again will attempt to do myself.
Its just a shame new bikes are giving all these dramas.
CF Moto needs to step up if they want to meet the big brands.
Such a great bike really disappointed though.

Cheers thanks again mate will definitely keep reading up on the issue.

Not sure! And could be a silly question But what would you guys say if I said is it worth Contacting CF Moto directly about my bikes issues?

Actually are CF Moto officials on the forum? Hmmm Interesting to know.

Cheerz.

I would try to work with your dealer first. If you can't get anywhere with them, try another one if you can. Cfmoto does need to pay more attention to the little things. Seems most of the issues have been minor, but should have been noticed. I own a Z6. All the things that bother me could have been avoided.
