just new to the cf moto, got a 2016 400 ho 2uo, nice bike just got to adjust suspension but i noticed there is a lot of heat being expelled out the right side while going up a long hill with 2 people on it, so much so i had to move my leg due to it being to hot, is this common to these bikes?

Most ATVs put out heat on the right side. Some are worse than others. Always wear pants when riding. If it starts to melt the plastic or is just unbearable you can remove the exhaust and wrap the pipe with header  wrap. It is inexpensive and easy to do. You can also put more of a heat Shield   where the pipe is by your leg.

Hard to understand why a company would make a 2-up machine with only a 400cc engine. I guess it must be a heck-of-an-engine.

I have the outlander max 400 and it does just fine. I have never doubted that it couldn't make it where others did. For moderate trail riding I think it is just fine.

all i does is  moderate trail riding, no hardcore for me, have had my polaris for almost 7 yrs and have never abused it, still looks new except for the faded red plastic, anyone know any tricks to get the color back in the plastics?

I've wanted to try the rustoleum recolor. But you can also use a buffer and rubbing compound. They sell different grits at the auto parts store. You need to get the oxidation off it so I would go with the "for serious defects" grit first than the one for light scratches. It's a lot of work. You should try the recolor and let us know how it works out. I will give cfmoto the nod for the paint they use. Washes right up and still shiny after 2 years of abuse.

They do make a plastic renew product. Also seen this before:

Not sure I fully trust this way.

I've wanted to try the rustoleum recolor.
I bought some last week for my ATV to get it ready to sell. I bought the ATV with scratched up plastics that had no luster left on the shine, so I'm hoping to make the plastic look presentable enough to sell the ATV.

el findesemana pasado salí en un viaje de 70 km  en total, y en el viaje de ida se sentía mucho calor por el lado derecho y eso que la temperatura ambiente no superaba los 15 grados. a parte de eso , todo lo demas ok .
