Hi, have a 2022 cforce 450.
When I turn the key the EFI light stays on but goes off when I start the engine.
If i turn off it stays off until i turn the key again.
Where should I start troubleshooting?

Sounds normal. It's when they stay on when running there's a problem.

I imagine it usually goes off after the fuel pump stops?

Other things too like the CPS starts putting out a signal when the engine starts rotating..other sensors as well.

According to the instruction manual, it should light up for about 5 seconds when the ignition is on, then go out?

Then I guess it does have a problem so...start looking or take it in. Me--I wouldn't worry until it generates a fault code and it won't so that until it's on while running.

Think that is normal operation as mine has always done the same but once I hit the ignition the light goes away.  Been a little over two years and never had a problem with it.
