Cforce 450L leak ?
« on: November 30, 2016, 07:57:12 AM »
Hi,

I'm new here after lurking around for a few months.

I have bought a Cforce 450L 2016. I can see that there are some sweats/leakage under the front of my ATV sometimes.
It has only ran 300km and I was wondering if this is related to the "ceramic seal" that's mentioned in another post about water leak
(http://cfmoto-forum.com/how-to's/water-leaks/)

I'm no mechanic, so I'm not sure where to start. The coolant is not under the lowest point and no need to refill yet.
The problem is that I think the fluid is a bit "sticky" like fine oil, but it's also greenish like the coolant.
I can't see any leaks around the drain plug for the differential oil either.

What's the black plastic cover?

See pictures below;

I would love to get someone's opinion about this, I have been in touch with the dealer, but he's so slow with his replies.

Green is coolant. Give it some miles to clear up, it should. If not bring it to the dealer. The black plastic cover is the 4 wheel drive actuator on the front differential.

I see coolant dripping off the actuator. That means a hose or radiator leak probably as the water pump is back on the engine. Trace it up. May be just a loose clamp. I found some on mine.

Bonjour,j'ai le même problème de fuite sur mon Cforce 450S,avez vous régler le problème,merci de votre réponse. Je pense moi que c'est de l'huile de transmission du pont avant.

Hi from Macedonia.
I recently bought a new cforce 450l.
I have the same problem. I has ran about 200km and I have the oil droplet on the same place. I think the leak is beatwean differential and 4 wheel drive actuator (gear motor). Please advise for solution.

Replace o ring,
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.
