Cforce 450 top speed
« on: April 28, 2020, 03:26:21 AM »
Hi guys,
I’m the happy new owner of a cf450 out here in Prague CZ.

I had the dealer remove the limit on it by flashing the EFI chip, but still feel the motor hold back then i get to about 97kmh / 60mph.

He tells me that this is not due to the chip, but a limitation of the engine.

Is there something i can do to allow the bike to continue building up speed if for example I’m going down hill on a straight, open, empty road and have the throttle fully open?

Cheers

Jamie

They all have RPM limiters built into the ECMs so that will always be there. That may be able to be changed with a re-flash but it's there to keep the engine from coming apart. Not much keeping these Chinese engines together as is.

Did you hit rev limiter?

There is an "limiting washer" in the primary some people take out to get a bit extra shifting. If you lack the power you can clock the secondary to use the power a bit better.

Hay Skog, thanks for sharing this! Yeah i believe i hit the rev limiter - the power really backs off when i get to 97km. It doesnt look so complicated to remove the washer, but are there any negative side effects from doing so? Thanks!

If you remove that washer you can check so the belt don't go to far up in the primary or to far down in the secondary. Should be fine as i know that a few people have done this and it seems like it's working for them.
