efi light

went for a little ride today ( looking for a moose really) on way back my efi light came on while going up steep  grade, temp was about 3/4on gauge when i got to top i shut bike off, turned back on and light was not on anymore, came home about 2 mile with no problems, any ideals?

The EFI light on generally just means there is an error on one of it's inputs. It can be anything including Temp- both coolant or air intake, O2 sensor, fuel pressure, CPS, TPS and a few others. I would go through it and check all the sensor's connections for connectivity, water, corrosion..ect. If nothing it may be a bad sensor and if so, probably have to wait until it fails completely to get the code to know what it is.

took for ride today, notice temp running high and fan not cutting in, guess thermo switch needs to be replaced.
