Hi all
My 2017 400s has a coolant leak on the upper coolant hose, where the aluminum couples to rubber. One of those pressure clamps is currently on there. The coolant is leaking from under the rubber, like it’s simply loose.
It’s in a horrible spot, next to the fuel tank, behind the upper frame and next to impossible to access. I had to remove the entire wheel well, side body panel, clutch panels, etc. What a pain in the rear.
Anyway, since I don’t see any damage and the hose looks okay, my plan was to replace the cheap pressure clamp with a screwed hose clamp.
Anyone see problems with this?
I’ve been having issues with thermoswitches. I’ve replaced the original one already, which didn’t last 2 days. I’ve ordered another and it should be here any day. I’m thinking the rise in temp may have increased the pressure in the system and it leaked from the weakest point.
Sound right?
Thanks all
