ZForce 1000 lift
« on: April 16, 2020, 09:41:07 AM »
Hi all, newbie here.  I have a 2019 ZForce 1000 bought last month.  I bought a RZR 2" lift bracket, and it doesn't fit.  The plates are too small, i.e. they won't sit on the A Arms; there's a gap at the bottom and they will be able to rotate if installed.  Also my A arms don't have the second set of holes where the reinforcing bolt goes as seen in the Youtube install video.  Brackets were from EBay, for a 2008-2014 RZR 800.  Are the 1000 arms different than the 800?  Anyone here have any insight?  Thanks in advance!

I'm running the same kit. I think I had to grind some off the mounts to get them to fit as they were too long. Did you try them in different spots? I did mine last year and can't remember exactly how I put them on but they do work.

On ZForce owners FB page, I saw an install where the rear does not make contact with the base like mine, so I'll bolt it in place.  I'll look at the front; watched a Youtube on the spacer lift install on a Z1000.  Again, my front shock brackets are different!!  I'll look things over in the next few days.

Are you sure you're using the right brackets in the right place?  For the front you should just have to grind the tabs off the bottom of the lift brackets so they sit flat on the A arms and the holes will line up.  Don't grind any more than you have to, you want them to sit nice and flat.   Think the taller brackets go in the rear.  For the rear, I mounted my bracket at the top of the shock but I think you could do it either way.  Can't remember if my A arms had the extra holes or not, but I drilled through the brackets (and maybe the a arm mounts) once I had the brackets installed.  I have an imgur album with a few pics that may help, I will find the link and post it here shortly.  I used a 3" RZR lift but the general procedure should be the same.

Being on the cusp of old age, I am fine with admitting I'm an idiot!  Got the rears on last night, fronts will go on tonight after work.  Yes, I work at a mine which is considered "essential", so I get to go to work.  So far we have 26 cases in our little town of around 9000; I feel safe out here at work!
