I have a 2019 Zforce 1000 and it will not "cold start", Meaning first time.  It doesn't have to be cold out, just saying the engine hasn't ran for a day or two.  I can turn it over several times and it smells like its flooding.  If I give it some throttle sometimes it will, sometimes I have to put it to the floor and it will eventually start and run extremely rough and sometimes die several times.  But after it does run for a while or after riding I can shut it off and then when I go to start it again, I can just reach in and turn the key and it starts right up and idles perfect.  Any thoughts or advice?  Thanks

Yeah check the valves but also check that the air temp sensor isn't coated with filter oil and be sure to let the fuel pump stop running before you crank it..and do not touch the throttle while it is not running with the key on.

I had the same problem since it was brand new, I switched from 89 octane and above to 87 octane as for the gas smell remove the passenger seat and tighten the round fuel top underneath. Ive never had a problem since.
