Hi,
I am new to The UTV/ATV world and am wondering what is the top “safe” rpm on the 1000?

5500 rpm seems to be screaming to me and I hesitate to push beyond that but I see folks talking about doing 70mph when 45 to 50mph seems to be pushing the engine hard.

There is a built-in RPM limiter in the ECU. Not sure what it is for the 1000s but for most others including the 800s its like 7750. Yeah...I agree..that seems like it's pushing it a bit...especially a Chinese engine. But people do it. Not me

Thanks for the reply - I think I will stay in the 5500 - 5600 range at the high end - plenty fast for a top end for what we are doing.  Nearly always well below.

Me too. 45 is about as about as fast as I ever go. Most of the FS roads are limited to 25 anyway....and the trails...well just watch my videos. 10 is a fast trail. Besides, new engines aren't free...lol

Peak HP is at 7000rpms, redline is at 7700rpms.
