Hello everyone! So, once of a sudden my check engine light started blinking, and my cooling fan started spinning without stopping. Waited for 5 minutes, but the fan would run continuously, even with the engine cold. Scanned for the error, and i get coolant temp sensor error. Deleted the error, the check engine stopped blinking and the fan stopped. Searched for the temperature sensor and i get one with 3 pins. The problem is that, what i think is the temperature sensor, has only one wire, and one pin. Maybe i am wrong, but isn't it bolted to the engine between the two cylinders?

According to the service manual I have on Gen 2 (950 Trail/Sport and 800 Trail)  the Coolant Temperature Sensor has three wires.  Two form a circuit which provides coolant temperature signal to the ECU, the third  goes to the dash.  Assuming CFMoto used the same part in Gen 1 that would match what you've found.

Right! The only problem is that the sensor i found, has only one wire coming out of it. Where would be the other 2?

Correct. And the single wired sensor between the two cylinders would likely be the oil pressure sensor.

NMKawierider just what i thought, that would be the oil pressure sensor. But i just can't find the coolant temperature sensor. Thought it would be located near the thermostat, but guess what...it is not...😅

The coolant temp sensor is on cylinder #1 which is the one closest to the muffler. It will be next to the thermostat housing on the head on the CVT cover side.
