I have a CFM ZForce 1000 that pops into neutral from high or reverse while driving. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If you have, what was the solution?

I'm a service tech and I have two customers with the exact same complaint but we can't find anything physically wrong with the buggy. The only time I can replicate the issue is when I hold my hand on the shifter while driving and the G forces cause me to "knock" it into neutral from either position. I swear this is the only issue but I want to make sure I'm not crazy.

I did on my 15 800 but it was because the shifter detents and the transmission detents were out of alignment and so because the engine is mounted on rubber, it moved enough to pop it out of gear. I adjusted the shifter linkage to match in neutral but found the two would get off going in either direction. I then adjusted the shifter "V" detents to match the transmission's. It's all good now. So, check the shifter alignment...but also check the engine mounting bolts..they being loose can also cause this....and we all know about CFM and loose bolts. 

yep the other machines have alignment issues from the factory with the detents. if it is fully in gear though I've never had a problem. Biggest issue I ever had was it going part way into low range then when you hit the gas it pops out, just have to make sure it is all the way in but I have never had mine pop out of gear once you were actually moving.

Yeah..I still get that once in a while myself...just have to double-check that it's well in low.

I still have this one in my shop. The customer came to pick it up and I went from park to high gear and when I went to take off I think it wasn't fully in gear and it gave a grinding/jerking sensation. The customer stated that this is exactly what it does at 50+. I know that I most likely just got on the gas too early.

I've never hit the rev limiter in a 1000 in forward gear but my new theory is that, like going too fast in reverse, the vehicle is hitting the limiter and "jerking" the vehicle at that speed.

CFM wants me to pull the CVT apart and check the gears. I'm weary about taking that step since I can't repeat the person's exact issue.

If it were me...I would loosen the lock nut on the shifter handle, then screw the handle all the way down, then re-lock it. This will disengage the shifter lock from it's detents so all you have is the transmission's detents. Then put it into whatever position and give it hell. If it pops-out, it will be because there is now something wrong in the transmission.. like a bent fork or rounded dogs.. because of it slipping out of gear before under power. Unfortunately the only cure for that is parts replacement...all this because someone at the plant couldn't line up the two with the adjustments. Now mine was a little different..the two didn't/wouldn't line up. I had to "adjust" my shifter detents to match the transmissions with a dremel....and put a stop for the "Park" position.   

I believe CTDLS posted a fix just like this, for the popping out of low thing.
