In the US I believe there isn't a speed limiter on them. Wonder why they would put one on anywhere?

I've been looking online for this as well. Do you have any pictures to show what it looks like? I know they have adjustment screws on the pedal itself but I believe it's a pin or screw that is backed out or removed.

The only limiters on the US models is the RPM limiter that built into the ECU. I don't remember what it is set at for the 800s but it's in the 7300-7750 range. Don't think I would want to take a Chinese engine much higher...but the programmers do set it about 500 RPMs higher. From the factory some say the throttle stops are set to limit it a bit more during break-in and first service. Both stops are on the peddle. One thing to remember- set the full-on or bottom stop to make contact just before the stop on the throttle body is reached. Otherwise you can damage the throttle body and/or break the cable when the frame flexes while at WOT.

Also in Romania all CFMOTO machines (ATVs and SSVs) are limited both hardware and software.

The hardware limiter has two parts: A screw on the throttle cable and a hitch on the intake gallery. Removing the hardware limiter is not a NASA task but it takes some skills and tools.

Here the dealer can pull off the limiters upon request when they come for the first revision. For free.

As far as I understood from the mechanics, the limiter is mandatory until the first revision in order to "force" you to break the machine as smooth as possible (just as the manual says).
