ECM flash to remove speed limiter
« on: February 29, 2020, 08:12:55 AM »

Hey guys, I came across this page for a zforce 1000 for sale in UK and they mention an ecu flash to remove top speed restriction. Anyone know anything about ecu flashes for this machine?

Thanks

In europe we have different rules when it comes to atv and utv. The 3 main types of registration types ( all 3 have different rules) all have some sort of speed regulation. The registation form we cal "tractor a/t3a" are only allowed to go 40km/h because the are classed as an tractor. "tractor b/t3b" are allowed to be driven in 50 km/h and usualy allowed to go about 60km/h. Not many machines have these limits in them for long and the dealers usualy put in an software that remove these stupid limits. So it can achive it's original top speed. We also have an sort of road registration thats ecualy means the machine gets registred ac an MC and the new (euro4) they are allowed a maximum speed of 90km/h. And wh ahve one more thats not that common any more because it's makes the machine illegal to use on roads and these usualy have no limits so it's this softwere the dealers put in the other machines as well if the costomer wants. So the "reflash" is usually the original softwere without stupid limits in it.

Our offroad laws are verry regulated aswell (some differences between countries). Here in sween it's illegal to drive offroad if it's not for work related or hunting related (bring out animals)  so we need to be able to drive the machine on roads to get to some places where it's some forest roads or a place we can ignore the law on. We do have some atv meetings where it's actually legal but not that many that often.

Hi mate, do you have the proper way to remove the limiter? IS there any ECU Map without limits or another things to do? Tnx.

 :)
Hello all, just bought a 2021 625 t3 touring with all the kit, and realised why I got such a good deal.
Brilliant to 60kmph, then cough, splutter, euro t3 60kmph limiter kicks in.
So should have bought the l7e but now… I want to get the limiter removed, I understand completely the legal ramifications etc, I live in very rural france, use the quad for a bit of farming in the winter, and then change tyres and go to the beach in the summer.
How does one get the ecu remapped or chipped or (apologies) whatever the term is?
Can you buy a kit? Is it to be done by a professional?
I live at the end of a 7km straight tarmac road and I am currently the only user. Built by the romans, maxing out at 60kmph is dire.
I don’t speed or race, I just want an occasional bit more juice
Fantastic machine, not sad to see my old Yamaha go, this is truly wonderful
Thanks in advance
Diolch

Welcome to the group. To my knowledge you will have to either buy an ECU for a non-EU version machine or send your current ECU off to be re-flashed. Hopefully someone will chime-in and has that information.
