Bent spring

Problem solved!
I was lucky, just released the spring tension, and it straightened. Th shock and spring are fine.
I don't have a clue what's happened but I'll keep an eye on the right side to see if this issue occurs again.

Unfortunately, the spring didn't survived. It snapped during the last ride (two days ago).
The bad news is that the spring comes together with the shock absorber (much expensive). The good news is that replacing will be easy

Dang! Hadn't seen a spring break like that before.

You can replace/upgrade the 4 springs only for about $200.

I guess the spring was in the midst of failing.

Just in case anyone is interested I do still have one full set of stock springs for the trail as well as one set of near-new Bandit front springs I would be willing to part with for almost nothing plus shipping. I also have a set of front shocks but one has a leaking seal on the rebound adjuster. All headed for the trash can soon.

Where can I find 4 springs (only the springs)? Here in Romania (and neither online) I Couldn't find the springs alone . I asked the dealer and they told me that the spring and shock absorber come together. I'm talking about CfMoto parts, not after market.

Thanks but the springs are for trail models (500&800) not for EX models. That's explain why I didn't find this shop (I searched for EX models).

There have been poeple who have upgraded their EX springs as well. I just can't recall the place. It may have been springs from another brand (polaris, Arctic Cat, etc ...) that fit.

I'll bet a call to Bandit would steer you in the right direction.

I've decided to wait to see if another spring cracks and, if so, I'll replace all springs and shock absorbers with Bandit ones. I'm not saying the stock ones are crap, just that the chinese are inconsistent with the quality control. That's because I have also 2016 Zforce 500 EX which is a hell of a machine ... just minor issues after 4 years of huge abuse.
