3" Bracket Lift
« on: December 22, 2020, 06:56:04 AM »
I would like some thoughts and opinions on putting a 3" Bracket Lift on my 2019 Zforce 1000. My big concern is axle/CV joint damage due to the increased angle. Right now with 80% of my preload used up my rear A-arms are just about straight. This is with 40-50lbs of trail gear in the back and 2 adults in the cab. The machine bottoms out a lot. I am also considering upgrading my tires to 28" STI X COMPs as well...so thoughts and opinions on those would be great too.
Thanks everyone.

Just did the 3" Polaris RZR bracket lift on our Z1000 last week.  We have minimal mileage on the bike since that was done though.  Maybe 2-3 hours of trail riding out in Texas.  But it was pretty much all dry trails and hill climbs.  The bike is running great, suspension feels solid, and no new squeaks/complaints from any of the 4 corners.  We are going to pull it all back apart and powder coat the brackets black.  They came silver and stick out like a sore thumb.

Really looking at 4" portal lifts next though.  That's going to be the 2021 winter project I believe.

I've had a 3" RZR lift on my 2018 Z1000 for about 3000km now, and I don't regret it one bit.  I did have one front axle that eventually started to slip once in a while if it were extended down too far such as in a deep hole.  It never broke but I did replace it with a much beefier Demon axle just in case.
