Shock options
« on: April 30, 2020, 11:35:38 PM »
Have a 2020 uforce with only 160 miles give or take. Just got done with a 90 mile ride today. The terrain consisted of improved dirt road with occasional very uneven surface. I am beginning to like this machine except for the suspention. It is stiff/hard. It started to soften up a little near the end of the trip and I am hoping that it is just needing "break in". Not sure if it was properly greased at the factory as the zirks are clean as new. Am I going to have to bite the bullet and get new shocks? my experience is with zforces so this is all new to me. Any and all input is appreciated.

Yes  :)

After you have pumped the grease fittings full you will still find the ride is calibrated for a work load carrying UTV.

I liked the Uforce for many reasons other than ride quality. Base Elka's will make a day & night difference which are very reasonably priced. Or if you are not on a tight budget there are various stages that give you additional adjustability. They are other brands, Elka is the one I'm familiar with & hands on experience.

By chance I have a set that has 1 ride on them, I can save you some money should that be of interest.
ZF 800 LX Trail, stock for now.......not for long.

X2..She's a truck... meant to haul and work. Not a trail machine. There's only so much you can do but a set of Elkas or Bandits is about the best you can do and will make big difference.

"She's a truck", I like that statement being a former OTR driver. Might mount a MACK truck bull dog to the front of it. ;D I will be contacting Elka about shocks for it although being a 2020, I'm not sure if they make them yet.

Lol..also means she's pretty tough. Hay if people can make a Kawasaki Mule ride good on the trail then the U Force should be able to as well. Most just do the shocks and a little larger and compliant tires and are happy.
