I have a fairly new 500s (120 miles) and Today while I was stopped I hit the kill switch to cut the bike off, went to crank again will not start. The EFI light comes on when the kill switch is on. You can hear the starter selinoid click as well as the relay under the front cover.  Checked the 30amp fuse on the selinoid and the 15 in the front as well. Bike is under warranty from the dealer and will be taken to tomorrow. Maybe someone has had this happen and if not will post on thread what the issue is.

If the switch went bad than it wouldn't make any  noise. I think it will be a simple fix. Please let us know what you find out.

A couple hours later I was told my fourwheeler was Hydrolocked.  I did get into some reasonable deep water and probably shouldn’t have.  We drained the air box, winched the wheeler up a tree and also changed the oil before we rode some more.  We rode an hour after and then that’s when the bike wouldn’t crank. I didn’t believe them but I think the opened the air box and seen the POS paper filter was gone and dirt in the box and called me.  It sat for a week and didn’t touch it.  I was fed up and brought it back to my house to do more trouble shooting. We jumped the starter and it ran without any problems the Solenoid would work some til the bike got up to temp and would have to be jumped again.  I would like to know if anyone know a website or something where I could get one. It’s the starter solenoid.  Also any recommendations on a new washable air filter that can fit the air box? Thanks

I’ve viewed alpha sports and they have what I’m looking for, I’ll be ordering the starter relay soon and hopefully that’s the issue
