RE: Air Filter for 2016 Models
« on: November 30, 2015, 06:12:27 PM »
Good day everyone, I just joined the forum as I plan to replace my 660 Grizzly with a ZForce 800EPS later in 2016. I have been reading reviews on various sites about CFMotos' and spent the weekend reading all the members post/comments on this form, which I found excellent for information and helped make up my mind on CFMotos' machines.

I sent an email to CFMoto Customer Service for Canada. The questions I asked them were a result of reading the various post on this form by its members.

The following is a copy of my email and the response from CFMoto Customer Service.

Posting this for your info, hope it is helpful.

Email to CFMoto Customer Service  -  I am interested in the Zforce 800EPS. I have been doing various online reviews and found several reoccurring issues coming up for discussion on US Models.(1) The stock engine air-filter seems to be poor in quality for dust conditions, owners of model year 2015 are using aftermarket engine oil air filters. (2) Complaints of dust/water coming into the clutch due to the location of the air intake. (3) Suspension bolts loosing up on new machines.
- Are there any changes to the 2016 model sold in Canada that may address these areas?

Thanks in advance for your time an any info you may share.

We have made recommendations to the factory regarding the Air Filters and hopefully they will be upgraded. We are presently on standby from the factory as to what will be the solution.

We have not had many complaints regarding water/dust infiltration from the intake and have not had any info from the factory that this will be changed or modified.

The suspension is to be the same, there were small issues with the shock absorbers and they will be modified.

Thank you for your interest in the CFMOTO products and have a great day!

They need a filter element twice the size or larger and in a two-stage foam. Then the intake needs to be moved and ducted to get air from high under the front plastics. People can snorkel them later if needed. JMO

Small issues with the shocks?

I would be curious to know how many of us have experienced issues with the reservoir rubbing on the springs.
Why on earth didn't we in the US just get the Elka's?

Me too. Also surprised that their Q.C. didn't catch those prior to shipping...also that some the dealers didn't during assembly. There was one on the floor at my dealer that had one shock that way and I showed them. They said they just hadn't noticed it... wow..really?

I'm going to start a separate thread about shock springs rubbing on the reservoirs.
