Can you run without front driveshaft without any problems on the zforce

As long as the yokes or ends are needed for seals, yes, you can. Something happen with yours?

Bummer. Mine has had some slop from new but it looks like most of it is on the splines. I'm only at 450 miles now and hasn't gotten any worse..yet. Definitely a weak design.

Mine throw out all the grease and is very sloppy. It's under warranty but we've got a big ride this weekend. All road miles, but shaft turns all the time. Probably better cancel.

If you are determined to go on that trip, you might be able to pull the bearing carrier out and measure the bearings. Should be able to get some at the auto parts store or industrial supply house. I'm not sure where all the grease is from. The bearings shouldn't have a ton of it in them. Looks like the 4wd actuator it in the front diff. You could pull the u joint off the yoke right at the output just don't hit that 4wd button or it will be a mess.
