I’d like to make a little announcement. A while back I was talking with several shock and spring suppliers about a problem I like most of us CFM 800 trail guys have been having with our collapsing and/or incorrect spring dual rates giving us the worst ride of any 50” SxS on the market. At the time, besides Elka making a Stage1 and 3 for us no one was interested in helping…except Bandit UTV Suspension. As it turns out their rear springs for the Wildcat trail worked perfectly on the rears of the CFM ZForce Trails and after some extensive testing my myself and a few others, found the ride so dramatically improved, Bandit decided to move a head and spec a special set for the front of our Trails on their next run.. and will be on the market very soon. I will be receiving the first set of fronts and will be testing them extensively. Right now you can find the rears on their web site. They are a single-rate spring in two rates- Medium and Heavy. The medium are 200lb which is what I have been testing and are more then enough for a 220lb driver,120lb passenger and 120 extra lbs of stuff in my 800. The Heavy are 250lb and will be for the owner that hauls lots more then standard stuff and a passenger. The new fronts will be 175lb to start with then will include a 200lb/Heavy option later. So, if you are a Trail owner, either the 800 or 500, and would like the..almost.. feel of a set of Elka shocks for around 200 bucks, get yourself a set of these Bandit springs. Your wife…and backside will thank you! Mine did. Here’s a link to their site:

Plachta at Bandit and thank him for stepping up for us. His email is:
banditutv@yahoo.com . Oh, by the way, Ted says he would be happy to custom-build anyone a set of shocks..even tougher then Elka..for less then you would pay at Elka in most cases. He can put piggy-backs on our trails too. Food for thought!
