Welcome. There is an override button but for..well..some of the previous years, it only effected the limiter for the diff-loc, not the reverse limiter. However, you can install an extra switch on the lead to the reverse sensor to stop the grounding of that circuit, fooling the ECM in thinking it is not in reverse when it is. You just won't have the reverse light on in the dash pod when the switch is open and in reverse. So, I am not sure if they changed this with the 1000 or not's an easy fix if not. On the switch they do come with they are momentary so you have to hold it. I switched mine out tor one that stays on until I flip it off. Handy when hill climbing of when you need the diff-loc on as well as both hands on the wheel. Also an easy fix.
